Dear C-heads readers, the 5th edition is here! And this time, it`s very unusual because it`s created by a band! And not just an ordinary one – it was mixed by a great band from Italy who released their huge debut on BPitch Control last year. Ladies and gentlemen, We Love!

Hello to We Love! Thank you very much for your time. Where are you at the moment? How are you today?
Hello to you, too! We’re actually in an airport… Destination? Who knows! Even if saturday night has been very long, today a big sun is warming us …

We Love is a two-member band (Giorgia Angiuli + Piero Fragola). Could you tell us how did you meet and when came the idea of creating “We Love”?
We met in a festival in Puglia (south Italy), where we presented two different projects. Then, surprised by many common interests, we understood that we could create music together. It has been very spontaneous and fast! Our previous projects were not just focused on musical realm: Piero is also a graphic designer and Giorgia an event organizer. So our band was born as a project involving many different artistic languages: music, videoart, fashion and design.

You come from Italy. Tell us something about music scene there…
In the last edition of Nextech festival, in Florence, we enjoyed very much the Planet Funk live set. And some days ago we were together in their studio, spending a nice day talking about music. Alex Neri and Marco Baroni are our friends from many years. We like very much also the newborn Life&Death productions. Matteo and Karmine (Tale of Us) recently made a beautiful remix of our song ICE LIPS, included in our last EP released for BPitch Control.

Last year you released a debut album on legendary BPitch Control label. How did it happen? Did you just sent a demo like others or Ellen discovered you? :-)
Our common friend Elliot (Feel Booking) listened to our songs and proposed us to send them to Ellen Allien. When Ellen enjoyed the project and decided to produce our album, we couldn’t believe it! It has been a great pleasure being part of the BPitch Control “family” and we always appreciate very much Ellen both her music and her character.

This debut CD was created with young music producer and remixer Marco Palazzo, right? I read in your bio that you met him at railway station. Can you tell us the story behind it?
We met Marco Palazzo in a railway station while he was coming back to Florence in search of a flat to rent. We had already seen him in a festival, so his face looked familiar to us… That meeting was a chance to know better ourselves and to deal with our common musical projects.

How do We Love performance look like on a stage? What equipment do you use for instance, do you collaborate with any other artists on your performance etc?
We Love performances are a multi-sensorial experience: as we said before, we want to create a synthesis of many artistic languages together, so our songs, our video set even our costumes, everything has been built up to surround the audience with deep sensations.

Our videoclip for the song Hide Me has been realized with the collaboration of Patrizio Travagli and Jamaica De Marco; the installation of Patrizio Travagli has been used as a location for the video, directed by Jamaica De Marco. Our costumes has been realized by Diana Ferri and designed by Masculine/Feminine.

Recently you released a new EP Timeless. Is there any more stuff coming out till the end of this year?
We are working on many new songs: we are trying to understand which ones and when they will be released by our label.

Do you have any idols who inspired you?
Many charatcters inspired our work: from historical bands like The Coil or authors like Murcof, until Apparat and Ellen Allien. We like the Romantic concept of electronic music creating harmonies, like a bridge between past and future.

What do We Love usually do when they are not in the studio and composing?
We have many interests: Piero is a graphic and a teacher and Giorgia is an event organizer and a collector (she loves childish toys, perfumes and aromatic essences). We both like going to the cinema and eating icecreams!

Can you tell us the story behind the mix for C-heads?
This is not a mix for the dancefloor – is more for an emotional journey inside the music experience!

I`ve heard some rumors you will play in my hometown (Prague). Will you have a tour around Europe in upcoming months?
We are going to play in Poland, two gigs already planned, and other four shows in Italy (Sicily, Sardinia, Tuscany and Venice). We still have not a definite tour but we are always waiting for new gigs from BPitch Control! We like very much travelling and playing!

Would you like to add something for our readers and listeners?
We have already been in Praga as tourists. We took in our hearts this magic and wonderful city, and we’re very glad to coming back here for our live set!
