Tell us a bit about you, where are you from, age and what are you up to?

I’m a 26 years old photographer who moved to Berlin 8 months ago to finish my studies as an exchange student, after having lived in Lisbon for 7 years. At the moment I wish to continue my project cityburns, but I’m also open for new projects or partnerships in Berlin, if there are any interesting opportunities.

What does photography mean to you?

Well, I think photography is a great transformation process, which has a powerful capacity to document and construct our own memories. In my work, I like when it has some kind of authenticity.

Which camera/ equipment do you use?

When I do digital, I use an old Nikon d70s with a flash and when I photograph with film, I use a Pentax with a 50 mm lens.

What are the motives that you enjoy most taking pictures of and why?

I really enjoy to do portrait. I feel it as a natural preference. For me, it is hard to imagine enjoying photography without enjoying to photograph other people. But I’m also interested in architecture and fashion, even if I’m not directly focused on that right now. Perhaps in the near future.

5 things you cannot live without?

A camera, cinema, music, internet, and the necessary freedom to enjoy all this pleasures.

The most important thing in life is?

The others, I guess.
