Miharayasuhiro “Wild at Heart”

Miharayasuhiro Spring/summer Paris men’s collection “Wild at Heart”

Miharayasuhiro‘s S/S 2013 collection takes us on a nostalgic journey back to late Eighties in North America. Taking inspiration from David Lynch’s classic film”Wild at heart” the designer re-interprets the snakeskin blazer given to the protagonist at the beginning of the film into over-sized and embossed textured t-shirts, shorts and shirts. Animals instincts run throughout the collection in bright blue python loafers through to crocrodile embossing on the arms of t-shirts.

The colours of the collections develop from neutral tones through to flashes of vivid yellow and deep red. This season, MIHARAYASUHIRO has explored his heart to realise the wildness within.

I really like this collection. Throughout the show I never noticed any mistakes and everything was so good that I wish I could have the left with some of the clothes. The shoes with paintings on them are pieces of art. The paintings on the collection and the white wall were painted by the talented JUN INOUE  that I met backstage after the show. His art is a mix between the delicate spiritualism peculiar to Japan that is drawn by an abstract line and its modern sense.
