Every few months I like to go behind the camera. The other side, I feel like I learn just as much as taking the picture. Photograph is an art of connection, being on the same wavelength on emotion on both sides of the lens. Your movements sync, a bit like sex. For a few hours you become like one, for the sake of art. You learn what feels comfortable, what doesn’t. At times it is more intense than a first date. You expose yourself, your skin, your personality, your mannerisms, all moments to be captured. You trust that person to reflect your true personality. As a photographer, you try to understand how the model feels, moves, energy, and for the first few moments and you grasp the flow.
