“I shot this series in mid-June, north of LA at Vasquez Rocks. It’s famous for being the location of a Star Trek TV episode back in the 60s. Somewhat of an alien landscape. I’ve always liked the setting, the desert colours & vegetation, plus it’s only an hour drive from LA. I enjoy shooting in the desert because of the colours and the solitude of the place. And why not bikinis in the desert? It was super hot that day. I chose simple bikinis to make for a fun & playful vibe to go with Ellie’s awesome energy, plus some high tops.”
