QASIMI renegotiates iconic pieces from sportwear as well as urban street wear as to portray the crossover between street and their attendant connotative messages. The process of recontextualisation is specifically manifested in the way in which raw elements of urban culture are repositioned against luxury surroundings. Boris Bidjan Saberi, a fashion creator half Persian half German, launched his first line in 2008. Sharp and modern, his work focuses primarily on functionality and expresses a very strong feeling of freedom and innovation. His roots, his enthusiasm for the “street culture” and casual wear but also references the post gothic lead to develop a very interesting collection.
