“The first time I worked with Nicole she said that she was only in New York for 3 months; after seeing how well the first set of images came out I immediately asked if she wanted to work together again before heading back out west. The first shoot came out extremely atmospheric and really echoed the vibe of the city that day. It was one of those winter days in New York that was dark, cold, grey and overcast. Once the snow began mid-afternoon it got rapidly heavier and thicker throughout the duration of the shoot. This combined with the dark stained timber walls of the apartment that we shot in made for some powerful imagery. This time round was almost the opposite, it was a beautiful spring afternoon, the warmest of the year so far. The apartment was full of sunlight that bounced around the white walls of the room after being filtered through the long, draping curtains blowing in the breeze. The result is a bright and delicately seductive set of photos that shall hopefully not be the last that we create together.”
