Ein DJ aus Leidenschaft. Wenn man sich durch die Biografie von Techno Legende Carl Cox liest, fühlt man sich fast wie in einen märchenhaften Traum entführt. Als kleiner Junge färbte die Begeisterung und Liebe zur Musik und Schallplatten des Vaters schon in frühen Tagen auf ihn ab. Und gemeinsam spielten sie so abends diverse Plattenfundstücke und Carl durfte deshalb auch gleich mal anderthalb Stunden länger aufbleiben. Die musikalischen Wurzeln liegen jedoch fern ab der elektronischen Tanzmusik unserer Tage. Soul, Funk und natürlich Jazz, das waren die Klänge, die im England der 60er Jahre prägten. Mittlerweile bedarf es kaum noch vieler Worte. Man kennt Carl Cox auf der ganzen Welt und auch mit seinen knapp über 50 Jahren ist er noch immer gross im Geschäft und zählt zu den Top 25 der weltweit einflussreichsten DJ´s.
