Neve is a beautiful young dancer captured by London based photographer Emma Miranda Moore. A series full of high spirits, energy and body language. 

“I met Neve at Pineapple Studios where I also dance and we really had a good connection right away. I wanted to create some work about what it is to dance. Regardless of whether the dance itself is perfect, I was looking to convey the feeling of totally inhabiting your body in the moments you are dancing. The feeling of taking the space you need and not apologising for it. I wondered if I could express that through photography, try and express some of the spirit that dance can ignite. Neve has crazy energy, she can dance across different styles and we played with various music, exploring how that changed her movement and stopping to chat (and catch breath!) in between. When I shoot I like to get to know people, keep in touch with them and work with them over a long period. Neve and I are still friends and will make some more work together. She has grown up and matured as a dancer and a young woman since I made this work and these changes will be reflected in the next series I shoot with her.”
