Simplers’ Project is an Electro acoustic/Ambient music project from India, consisting of Ritaban Das and Diptendu Das. It all started as a bedroom project of Diptendu, who’s a music producer and been making music under this name for quite some years now.

In last year December,  Ritaban joined as a singer/songwriter there who before was also a part of an Indie folk project called “Pilgrim Treehouse” as a singer/songwriter and has been writing songs for awhile. “It all started with a phone call. Diptendu called me up after listening my stuffs from Soundcloud and told me to write songs for his project. He also passed me his own stuff which he had been working for couple of years which is pure electronic music. I didn’t know anything about that particular genre cuz’ I never put my ears to it and I had no effing idea about how my song is gonna fit into that sound. I got couple of songs in my bank that time which I thought I should give it a try.”

Their EP “Waves” was released last month and received some amazing response. “Whatever songs I’ve put it in this EP are very much old and very much personal and intimate to me. Songwriting process is very much organic for me, it reflects my thoughts, feelings, relationships and emotional ups and downs. Like “A song for you” I wrote it down for my grandmother who’s passed away 2 years ago whom I love more than anything. On the contrary the song “Crash” I wrote about a girl whom I have a terrible crush. I locked myself in a room, picked my guitar and started writing songs in the back of my sketchbook and somehow managed to write quite a few. I think I’ve found another great medium to express myself just like I render it through my paintings.” tells Ritaban. Listen and enjoy their chilling sound, that will gently get you across into the weekend.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
