The idea of overnight sleeping concerts offer you to sleep over or concentrate more on the performed music and appreciate also the role of silence in between.
On May 6th 2016 the 6th edition of the sleepover concert series titled SILENT_NIGHT will take place in Prague. This time it focuses on field recordings, abstract analogue electronics, neo-musique concrete and psychoacoustics. The main guest who will take you through the night until the morning light is Swedish composer and sound artist BJ Nilsen, one of the core musicians connected with the legendary Touch label and a gifted artist whose music has been featured in theatre, dance and movies (such as Microtopia, Enter the Void or I am Here on which he co-worked with Jóhann Johannsson). The Czech and Slovak scene will be represented by Tomas Prochazka aka Federsel – known for being part of projects like B4 or Gurun Gurun, young multimedia artist Martin Dlabaja aka Optical Frameworks from Zlin city and two performers of the Slovak LOM label – Jonas Gruska and :.: with their project Order of Sonic Chaos.

SILENT_NIGHTs, organised in cooperation of Radio Wave and Genot Centre Collective, take place in the small theatre Ponec with strictly limited capacity that provides a cozy background for such event and end with a shared breakfast in the morning. Presale for the overnight tickets starts on April 19th 2016 (10 a.m.) and we advise you to be quick as this event is highly demanded.
