For around three years now I have been living in a wonderful shared flat with my best friends – and I love it. Well, I’ve already lived with friends, enemies, and total strangers before.

Experiences I would not want to miss. As most of the time the relationship between flatmates has a very special bond. And you can be sure that it´s closer than probably any other relationship in your life. German photographer Alina Schessler documented the girls’ flat-sharing community of Hannah & Mary – who, coming from the same village, already have been friends for a long time. They both ended up in Cologne Ehrenfeld and are very happy that despite living together, their friendship has not changed.
