Berlin boy Steffen Grap got hooked on skateboarding when he was just 13. Long after the people who first introduced him to this admired action sport skippped it again, Steffen has sticked to it and is still performing new tricks on his board nowadays. We checked out more about his beginnings and what keeps him going, meanwhile photographer Enno Knuth followed him around to capture him in action.

How and why did you begin skateboarding?

I started to skate when I was like 13 years young. A few other guys from my school were skateboarders and I was super hyped and needed to get my own board. But all the guys skipped skateboarding again after a short time and I had to motivate other friends for a couple of month to try out skateboarding before I met the first other skater dudes in the city.

What’s your favourite trick and is it scary to try new tricks for you?
No complys are definitely my go to trick. I’m doing always super sketchy with new tricks. I see a hundred ways to die but not even one way to land the trick. laughs.

What keeps you going?
The scene in Berlin is pretty big. There are always new oportunities to inspire yourself and do something new. Also I get a lot of motivation through my surrounding like my friends, photography or art.

You are Berlin based. Where can we find you on a Saturday night?
Chillin´ at the corner with the homies or netflix-n-chill with my girl.

And tell us your 3 favorite spots in Berlin?
Pappelplatz, Magnet Bar & the Civilist Skateshop in Mitte

If you could live in another city, where would you like to live?
I dont really know, there are too many beautiful places in this world…

Favorite movie?
Kenpark, KIDS and all the other stuff of Larry Clarke

Favorite quote?
Inspire yourself to inspire others

Last question: How can we make the world a better place?
Plant a rose ❤🌹

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.

It’s cool how skateboarding can inspire and create its own atmosphere! I liked how you described the process of learning new tricks, especially with “seeing a hundred ways to die”. And about Berlin, it seems like you have cool places for skating and relaxing. By the way, have you ever tried your luck at a casino?

Hello! I don’t often play in casinos, but sometimes I can try my luck, especially on the Mostbet platform. I was impressed by the speed and convenience of replenishing my account, especially when you have several options to choose from. This greatly simplifies the process and allows you to quickly start playing. Also, if you want to learn more about their deposit options, you can read more on the Mostbet website, as they often update their terms. I really found it useful, because this way you can make the process even more convenient. After all, you can always find something new on the platform that makes the game even more interesting.

Berlin’s creative scene really does have its own raw energy—loved how that came through in the interview and the photos. It’s got that same unpredictable, spontaneous vibe I look for in other things too. Lately, I’ve been messing around with a few platforms just for fun, and using a melbet promo code added a nice little bonus to the experience. Nothing too serious—just a way to keep things interesting. Anyway, cool read. Definitely inspired to explore more indie scenes like this.
Apparently, they’re close to sealing a deal with Monami Ghosh — couldn’t think of a better fit.

Berlin’s creative energy is something else—always feels like a mix of art, chaos, and freedom. I totally get what this means about the vibe pushing you to try new things. For me, even something like sports betting became a fun side hobby.
I found great news on this site and it pleasantly surprised me. Turns out you were spot on! Monami Ghosh is indeed the new ambassador. It’s officially confirmed, and honestly, it feels like a great choice.
