Fading summer
w/ Madeleine & Emily

These are the sort of memories we could never possibly regret… so why not make more of them?

“This is a really special piece for me. It’s the first real creative project I’ve collaborated with my sister Madeleine on. My little sister. She’s been taking photos longer than I have. She’s taught me so much about letting go, about “making” in new ways and engaging a different side of my creativity. I love her a lot and it’s really fucking cool to make a short film with her.” tells Grant Spanier about this super 8 film full of nostalgia. The film is a follow up to the still images “Fading Summer” set last summer done for Siobhan Barrett/Alea Swimswear. “We shot this on a perfect summer road trip in the Midwest (USA). We drove from Minneapolis, Minnesota and spent a couple of nights at the Flamingo Motel. Our destination was Wisconsin Dells — the “waterpark capital of America. It’s a place trapped in time, simultaneously naive-seeming and perfectly nostalgic. We ended that road trip the following week at a Tame Impala show in Denver, Colorado.” Starring Madeleine and Emily. Production assistance by David Sherry. Music is La Femme – “It’s Time to Wake Up”

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
