Swedish songwriter-turned-artist Sandro Cavazza may be dropping his debut EP on Universal Music today, but he’s no stranger to the industry. Spending some time enrolled in Sweden’s acclaimed music academy, Rytmus, which has graduated the likes of Tove Lo and Icona Pop, and co-writing hits for artists like Avicii and Lost Frequencies, Sandro has emerged with his own collection of songs. The eponymous EP is a result of honesty, personal experience, and writing sessions across North America’s national parks with fellow collaborator Avicii.

“The four tracks that ended up on this EP I have worked on for around two years, writing the most honest songs of my life. I started out just writing a lot of songs from my own experiences, some ended up being fantastic collaborations with Avicii and Lost Frequencies, but some songs I kept for myself.”

“A lot of the inspiration behind it is based on my life. “What Kind Of Man” mirrors my inner struggle when growing up, trying to get my head around human nature and choosing who I wanted to be. “So Much Better” was a way for me to deal with my past. You could say that the EP is really a reflection of me up until now. I hope for people to feel a connection with the songs and feelings I’m trying to share by writing this EP.”
