Born in Casablanca, raised between Morocco, Spain, and Switzerland, schooled in Boston and now based in LA, Ghita Marrakchi’s journey to date has been diverse to say the least. Simply as GHITA, pronounced “RITA”, the Angeleno has found solid ground in straight-up, in your face pop. On her latest, “Mindfvck,” you’ve got big beats, bigger melodies, infectious lyrics, and a whole lot of energy. Fans of Charli XCX, Carly Rae Jepsen, Kesha, or any of their known accomplices – take note. It may be too early to tell definitively, but “Rita with a G” is definitely on to something.

“This song is about waking up in the morning and feeling completely different about a person, an idea or a thought you had the night before and not understanding where the sudden change is coming from.”
