Ashley Schultz may just be stepping out on her own as of recently, but she’s no rookie. Formerly part of the girl group Syd Youth, she shared the stage with the likes of Ariana Grande, One Direction, and Charli XCX among others. Today she returns with her second solo single, the smooth R&B pop number “Hold On Me.” Imagine if Beyoncé had an indie pop alter ego and went to work on a track that could have made Foster the People’s Supermodel – file under: “Hold On Me.”

“‘Hold on Me’ is a song about that one person you just can’t help but give all your power to. The one you lust for because only he or she makes you feel truly alive. They drag you to all time lows but also lift you to the highest highs. You know you will never be loved or treated the way you deserve, but you can never break free because the thrill and rush of this person is irresistible.”
