There’s a childlike excitement in meeting someone new.

The UK alt-pop duo of Dawn Moss and Robin Pearkes, together known as VŌS, explore that feeling on their latest single. The soulful, “Serious” is an airtight R&B-centric pop tune that is rich in both character and substance. Recounting meeting someone, “in a basement nightclub” where “drinks were flowing,” it is a candid glance into their world. Today, C-Heads proudly brings you an exclusive first listen to this magical track.

“In that moment we all know how good it feels to be on a bit of a wave with someone you like. All you want is that moment to never end and the next morning to never arrive.. Writing “Serious” was my way of keeping that moment alive.”

“Robin was working on a vibe production wise one day in the studio and at the time I was seeing a guy that I instantly fell for the minute I met him – even though I knew it was gonna be a bad idea! A few weeks went by and we were in that limbo of not in a relationship but also ain’t single. Don’t know what to call it – somewhere in the middle (thanks Krept).

We first met in a basement nightclub which inspired a lot of the lyrics. Drinks were flowing and music was on point. In that moment we all know how good it feels to be on a bit of a wave with someone you like. All you want is that moment to never end and the next morning to never arrive. I wanted to get serious with him so I could have that feeling forever even though that feeling is often a fleeting one. Writing “Serious” was my way of keeping that moment alive.”
