That both have been involved with music for a long time can be felt very strongly in their debut single. London born vocalist and lyricist Louise has been experimenting as a songwriter, collaborator and champion of new music on the London live scene for over a decade already. And British-Iranian producer Sena Verdi is best known for his work as Lyonheart, which has seen him release music with dance heavyweights (BT, Paul Oakenfold, Chicane), collaborate with Grammy-nominated artist Aqualung and score film music.

Together they are NIGHTBUS and they just dropped their first single ”Smalltalk’. The result is a minimal melodic sound with a nostalgic touch, focusing on the raw voice of Louise while the song itself deals with the topics of life, the darkness of being alone and the feeling that someone is simply there for you. Louise explains: “Smalltalk is our debut release from a collection of tracks written during the pandemic, writing together we could tune out of the noise, I felt totally unselfconscious which is a testament to our synergy. The lyrics are all drawn from my journals, scribing my dreams and struggles with mental health. I don’t always know how to talk about it but songwriting just flows. The track has a nostalgic feel to it, written with my teenage self in mind.”

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
