Originally born in Houston, Texas, Minoa, who’s real name is Ina Klos, grew up in Hannover, a city in Germany. And that certainly seems to have influenced her a lot. The music of Minoa is relaxed and soft, sometimes a little fragile and yet always something of that kitschy German small-town atmosphere.
After tracks like “Not Cool” and “Wanna Go Back In Time” the currently Berlin based singer and songwriter finally releases her debut album ‘Forward, Backward, Start Again’, which will come out digitally, on CD and on Vinyl. And like the song ‘Something Special’ it takes us on a lovely, nostalgic journey, completely drawing you into her world.
She tells: “Something Special embodies a sweet nostalgia. The verses tell the story of a loving couple. You can see their happy faces right in front of your eyes. But then, in the chorus it is revealed, that this is already history. That they were letting each other go, because they didn’t know how special it was, what they had. Still this is more than just a sad song. It’s about embracing the bloom of a relationship after having past its prime..”
