How many confessions, how many betrayals must these walls have overheard, without ever revealing a word. Moments of joy, moments of reflection, moments that slipped away unseen. This series was shot in Bangkok’s Chinatown inside an old motel house from the early 1900s. With its faded walls and and the heavy stillness of years gone by, the location became more than just a backdrop — it wrapped the moment in its own atmosphere. It was one of the first times Mattia Baldi photographed his friend Lea, who is just beginning her path as a fashion model and has recently signed with an agency in Bangkok.
“What I love about this shoot is the mix of rawness and intimacy,” Mattia tells us. “She is still new in front of the camera, but her energy came through in such a natural way.” The photographs capture that fragile space between experience and discovery — a quiet intensity set against the textures of history, bringing both vulnerability and strength into focus.
