Hello from Berlin! I love freedom, travelling, long train rides, Stefan Zweig books, cats, colours, writing postcards, music, and movies à la Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. What makes me really happy is the seaside, sunrises and sunsets and having lots of time!

Do you understand me? The language of art

Art is something that comes from inside of us, influenced by who we are and what we experience, or us trying to create a totally imaginery world, a certain feeling. It might evoke feelings and thoughts in others. To some people it will mean something. And others will not be able to relate to it.

Finding the stroking sunray

Her brain feels fried. What shall she do? Where is this bloody fulfilled life that they kept telling her about. That will give her all the satisfaction she was anticipating. And does it exist anyway…maybe it doesn’t so she can stop hunting for it, right?

Blue of Distance

A lot has been said about the color blue, I’ll hardly be the first. This isn’t to say this is an analysis of blue as a color, or blue as an emotion. But blue as perspective — the color of distant vaporous memory, opaque and often hindered — blue that moves. To illustrate my point, I have to begin with a tracing. To frame a lighthouse, a flower vase, a day in fall — a vision of the mundane in a steady flow that proves to be significant.

Electronica duo Ameli Paul on their new EP “Beyond Reason”, missing live energy and personal lyrics

“Beyond Reason is about this melancholic state we felt at the time, the feeling of being depressed, overwhelmed, but still wanting to be hopeful.” tells us Cologne-based electronica duo Ameli Paul on their new track and our premiere song for today. Out of their stunning three-part EP the melodic tune expresses exactly what we feel right now and their sound just carries us into wonderful memories of us dancing the night away.

„All again“ – A moment with Vienna newcomer band Wallners

“We are 4 people with 4 different opinions and obviously we don’t agree on every single thing. But it’s also great because you’ve got 4 different perspectives and characters.” We sat down with the Vienna based newcomer band – and siblings – Wallners to talk about their new cinematic video, the best thing to work with family and when a song is ready for them.

Pilar Victoria releases single 80’s Movie

Many friends told me recently that they were listening to old music from their childhood or teenage years. Funnily enough I did as well. Sort of calming in those turbulent times to dwell in a bit of nostalgia, isn´t it? Well, so Argentine-American teenage artist Pilar Victoria’s new single, a stunning 80s-inspired song, accompanied by a warm & enchanting visual, is just the sound I need right now.

Good things take time

In our fast paced world it has become significantly more difficult to keep this inner sense of calmness and to stay serene even when you don’t get an instant sense of success and remain confident when you don’t get an immediate feedback. We are impatient with ourselves and others too and like that create an environment in which things and people and ourselves cannot develop at its natural speed anymore.

The Stories We Tell Ourselves

The more I pushed the memories away, the more persistent they became. Alone, in the late hours of the night, I found myself searching for that fatal flaw. Maybe my life was too complicated. Maybe I wasn’t attractive enough. Maybe my job wasn’t good enough. Maybe I wasn’t funny, kind or fun enough. These thoughts were painful and unwanted. I needed to push them away, so I would pour myself a glass of whiskey and wait for the anger to come and with it, that sweet amnesia.

“An artist´s life.” The stories of the people behind the art #18 Daniel Nuderscher

“The art in my project is not the result, its the process. The process of two humans getting to know each other and the documentation of this process. Establishing connection between two humans and for some hours feeling safe, heard, understood and free.” With our series “An artist´s life.” we want to share the stories of the people behind the art.
