“Life is about sailing on unknown currents.” Ray Litsala and Miho of Metropolitan Models Group finally met again after an endlessly long time and spent the whole month of May together. They have captured their love on film.

Friendship is a Flower – a series by Juana Wein
“The first time I saw them I immediately felt something.” tells us photographer Juana Wein about her new series starring french actress Angèle Metzger, performer Paloma Vauthier and writer Fanny Vauthier. “We were on the street, the rain was falling hard so they invited me to join them at their place. I don’t have a sister: my friends had always been sisters and that’s how I imagine sisterhood is like.”

Photography is also always an attempt to bring time to a standstill and to hew to the moment. And even more so with analogue photography. With a Mamiya645s and Kodak Portra 800 photographer Burcu and model Telma recorded aesthetic color and black and white portrait style images in Paris.

“My self-portrait work is mostly driven by the need to obtain memory about specific times and about the pain caused by the impermanence of everything, the ephemerality of life and my interaction with this world. An act of reaffirmation, perhaps of a search for identity, the internal, existential and possibly eternal identity. It then becomes a living to recognize me.”

It is inspired by the intimacy that a person feels with the beach at the end of the day when the sun is setting and there is no one left on the sand.” tells us Gabriela Yáñez about her wonderful C-Heads debut starring Marcela which radiates a golden, nostalgic feeling.

Oliver Sutton enchants us with another incredibly beautiful series starring Nina. “We shot at home in Cape Town, against the autumn sun, with music and good vibes.” he tells us. Like no other he has the ability to capture honest, intimate moments and instead of looking for artificial poses completely immersed in the here and now.
A serendipitous encounter
Sometimes the best moments in life are the ones in between the planned ones. The ones that come about when we don’t expect anything and occur only by chance. It happened just like this when photographer Ojo de Paz encountered model Paula Gorozpe.
