“In this new story I captured two creative spirits: Akidor & Chuong in Nairobi, Kenya.” she tells us. “We spent the day together and drove to some of our favorite (hidden) places in the city. We cooled off in vintage 60’s pools to escape the heat. We listened to music, had fun dressing up and talked about what’s on their minds. We danced until the sun went down.”

At my grandma’s house

I’ve always been inspired by my grandma’s traditional East Coast Catholic decorating, and the fact that she has lived in the same house since she married my grandpa in the 1940s. It’s the house that my dad and all his siblings grew up in, and where I spent a lot of time as a child. I was excited to finally create something using this location that captured the dreamlike isolation that I always feel in the suburbs.”

Ending up in a beautiful portside town and settling down for the day in a little nook away from her busy life.”
