Daniel Cruz

This summer felt different from previous ones—for me, at least. I’m currently moving through a period of detachment, letting go of things I’ve come to cherish. It’s painful, but I hope to find freedom on the other side. Whether it’s the right path, I can’t be certain. Letting go of someone you’ve grown to love is perhaps one of the hardest things we face.

And so we linger over dreams of tranquil ocean days while looking at the timeless black and white and charming soft colouring images of photographer Daniel Cruz, picturing model Amy Lundman who is with Massardo Model Management, and radiates a sense of calm. 

“During the summer time Marica and I love to hang out by the lake and make the most of the weather. Luckily we were able to shoot and spend some time at a lake house here in Ontario that has a stunning view of the lake.”

Toronto and Miami based photographer Daniel Cruz shares another wonderful series with us. This time he teamed up with beautiful muse Sarah Caamano of Elite Model Management Toronto. “Shooting by the beach came very naturally to me and Sarah. We both come from Latin backgrounds so it was nice to be able to enjoy a hot summer day in Toronto by the water and imagine we were on some tropical island off the coast of Colombia.”

“Olivia and I decided to go for a drive on a beautiful, sunny afternoon and enjoy the beautiful scenic wine country which we both grew up close to. We enjoyed being surrounded by the recently turned green escapement and the freshly planted grape vines which reminded us that summer is here.”
