“Wicker Woman for me was a return, a reclaiming and trying to embody the empowered feminine that I saw around me growing up from my mother and my grandmothers. I saw fiercely independent, beautiful, fiery, funny, strong women, and I think for me I felt in myself — especially over the last sort of few years — a kind of weakening and a people-pleasing that was really frustrating to me.
