“My latest photographic project “I’m better without my man,” is the story about a girl who runs into a hotel, after clashing with her boyfriend. It’s 7 am, light softly entering the room, Federica spent the last 12 hours there, in that hotel room. She wakes up a bit, orders breakfast into the room, is still confused. Thinking about her man. Ex? She smokes a cigarette. And another one. She takes the phone and hopes for a call. But inwardly she knows that this phone call will never come. Federica is tired, and takes a shower. She drinks trying to relax. Then feels a wave. She is done with her boyfriend, definite. She decides to start from scratch, to start a new life, burning old photos. She puts on a swimming costume and goes to the solarium, breathes again, fresh air, new wind. Even the pretty girls are being left, but at the end she feels so well even without her boyfriend.”
