I just returned from a great trip to Brussels and in that short time thanks to my lovely friends and hosts, I discovered this absolutely cool band from Durham, North Carolina- Sylvan Esso. “Sylvan Esso was not meant to be a band.” is written as an introduction at their fb site. But it was Nicholas Sanborn great sense of having discovered something special in one of the songs written by Amelia Randall Meath, that she had asked him “to scramble it, to render her work his way.”, that turned it all around. Well, we are really glad that they ultimately decided to collaborate and they have just released their self-titled album. I really recommend you to go and see them live, as it was just so awesome from the first minute throughout the whole gig! They will be playing tomorrow in Berlin at the Privat Club (25.03)  and they will also come again in May to the Berghain. For all other tourdates please check here. And now, give us some coffee!

Hello from Berlin! I love freedom, travelling, long train rides, Stefan Zweig books, cats, colours, writing postcards, music, and movies à la Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. What makes me really happy is the seaside, sunrises and sunsets and having lots of time!
