“Meanwhile, in Rio” is the debut music project by artist Jacob Perlmutter and we are delighted to have the premiere of the first song release All A Bit Much here on C-Heads. We have always had a special connection to this magnificent country, with all its beauty and contrasts, and watching this charming and nostalgic footage, makes us dwell on the romance of the old times.
Recorded in March 2014 by acclaimed Brazilian producer Diogo Strausz the project was funded trough Kickstarter. “When Diogo offered to produce the album in Rio, I realised that the overriding themes of the songs could be explored cohesively in a single world; one of comedy and sadness, beauty and intensity, heat and exoticism. It’s an album of love stories set in Rio during carnival.” And watch out: On the 24th of July the album will be launched at this event where Jacob will give songs live and show his photography from Brazil alongside a selection of his Rio-based film work.

Hello from Berlin! I love freedom, travelling, long train rides, Stefan Zweig books, cats, colours, writing postcards, music, and movies à la Woody Allen and Wes Anderson. What makes me really happy is the seaside, sunrises and sunsets and having lots of time!
