CARIBOU – Our Love

“Finally! After months of waiting, my new album ‘Our Love’ is out everywhere in the world. Thanks for all the support and feedback so far. I really hope you like it – I made this album for you.” are the words Canadian artist Dan Snaith aka CARIBOU uses to announce his new album Our Love. The album features collaborations from Jessy Lanza that we had a lovely chat with in our Hey Girls! issue; and Owen Pallett and was released on the label City Slang.

The second single release out of the album Our Love is already near and dear to us, for the feeling it triggers inside and not least because of the beautiful, even though also heartbreaking, video directed by Ryan Staake.” I wanted to create a slow, brooding film that contrasted the seeming limitless of youth with the reality of death in later years. The film (which was photographed by Luca Ciuti) was shot on location in Ireland, at the beautiful Lough Ine House, about an hour and a half outside of Cork.”
