Sometimes the best plans are the ones that you have to put together last minute.

“So a few months ago I did something crazy and decided to fly to Australia to shoot girls on beaches. I first flew into Sydney and then headed to Melbourne. Now if you’ve ever dealt with modelling agencies before you know how tricky it can sometimes be.

I had managed to organise one shoot with an awesome model that went super well but the second shoot I had booked in completely fell apart last minute. It was scheduled for the Monday and on Friday I got the email that my intended shoot was scrubbed. In desperation I asked the amazing Lyli at Chadwicks if she had a really amazing girl for me to shoot.

It turns out the fantastic Ellie Lemons was available. So I had that. Did I mention everything else had fallen apart? Well I was out a makeup artist, stylist, and location. This wouldn’t be a problem in my London stomping grounds. In a fresh city? A bit harder. Fortunately Ellie was an absolute champ and we made contact over the weekend and put together a rough plan.

When Monday arrived I rolled up to Ellie’s place and we had hair and makeup sorted out by her talented friend Georgia Ramman and I hopped in Ellie’s car and we drove over to the nearby St. Kilda beach where we kicked around and got some amazing shots.

I was so happy with how things worked out. As they say when life gives you lemons make lemonade. I think I ended up with something much better. Sometimes the best plans are the ones that you have to put together last minute.”
