Sofia Syu is the face behind the new NYC based swimwear label Apricoss. “We’re inspired by simplicity, creative thinking and an aesthetic that responds to the way we live.” Photographer Donari Braxton shoots the debut campaign featuring Tatyana and Ruthie. Donari: “It took place at the Jimmy – the rooftop of the James Hotel, Soho (New York City). Rain visited in and out throughout the shoot. The girls braved the weather, though spent a lot of the afternoon shivering; their parkas are just out of frame in every shot. Luckily we had prosecco. I shot on 35mm.” Make-up done by Angela Valentino, hair by Joshua Briz and assistance by Jessica Hume.
