Dubfire & Mari Samuelsen dans la collection VARIATIONS

Ali Shirazinia aka Dubfire has always been an artist who loves to cross borders and push the limits. Whether it is continuing as a soloartist and stopping a successfull duo, or his man/machine show HYPBRID or the searching of new talents with his own label SCI-TEC- he is constantly pushing the envelope.

His newest collaboration with the gifted violinist Mari Silje Samuelsen have been streamed via Culturebox and bringing classical and electronic music together in perfect harmony. “This was an incredibly difficult and creatively challenging, yet deeply rewarding project. In between my insane gig / travel schedule in August, we basically had a 6hr session in Berlin to work out the arrangement / production and how we were going to re-interpret / stretch #arvopärt “Fratres” from it’s original 10 min length to the required 25 min performance time.” he wrote on his instagram about this wonderful music journey. And it seems there is more too come as they are going to continue to collaborate.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
