Stress Relief with Colleen Cole

Sometimes it´s good to have a plan. But even so important is the ability to change the plan according to what is right or working out for each situation. And so it happened that the initial plan of photographer Kevin Jara and Model Colleen Cole of Sky Talent Management turned into something different. And perfect.

“So this was only the second time I had shot with Colleen. It’s pretty great when you work with someone that can instantly get on the same page with you creatively which allows both of you to bring your best into making something beautiful. I had a completely different plan going into this, but due Colleen having to run up to LA for a casting earlier in the day, followed by the never ending clusterfuck that is Southern California freeways, we started shooting late. And with my usual perfect luck, the sunset light I had been watching got covered in clouds 10 minutes before she arrived.

Showing up as stressed as she was, the vibe of the shoot turned to returned to relaxing and forgetting about the rest of the day pretty quickly. I’m sure models are used to being told to be comfortable while shooting, but nonetheless she was more than happy when I said lets just hang out on the couch and maybe run a bath. As the shoot went on, I was relieved watching the stress literally melt of her and replaced with the great smile I have come to know. I can’t thank her enough for trusting me and my vision.”
