“As you get older you have different misconceptions about things that are outside of your comfort zone.” Machinedrum

“I was jaded by school.  They sucked the fun out of what I was doing. So I wanted to try again to get back into why I was making music in the first place.”

Machinedrum reveals while strolling down L.A. streets with Lauren Engel. He tells us about his corporate hippie parents, how he changed compared to when he was young and his musical path. And critically observes societyÂŽs obsession with being online all the time. “Today people are constantly looking at their phones and constantly worry about what other people think about them. You can easily lose yourself in all of that by focusing too much on your second self, which is your online self. ” And while the landscape passes slowly and the interview is almost coming to an end, he gives us a great advice: “Be thankful the first thing of the day. Otherwise itÂŽs really easy to forget a lot of the things that we take for granted.”
