Who is The Magician?
Stephen Fasano, a 40 years young dad who Dj since he has 14 years old and make his own music since 2006. In 2010, I have started a new DJ/producer/tastemaker career and my girlfriend Julie decided called me « The Magician » I love to discover brand new music, I like to transform song to something different. I’m also a nostalgic person and love a certain type of chords. The chords that make you feel happy with tears or sad with hope. Beside music I love art, design, food, wine, fashion and travel all around the World in class (as much as I can) (laughs)
What is your morning routine?
Wake up at 7:30am, a bit of gym then I make my own coffee with a real Italian coffee machine for me and my wife while our daughter explain her latest dreams. Then shower then I drive my daughter to school and when I’m back, around 9.15am I work for The Magician. It can be music, socials, management, meeting.. until 6pm with a break for lunch.
Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations?
I think it’s between Disco and 70/80/90s Pop to Dance music and also soundtracks from 70’s and 80’s movies. To name a few, The Beach Boys, Giorgio Moroder, Chic, Frankie Knuckles, Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Michael Jackson, Abba, Queen, Human League, Daft Punk…
What do you want to be remembered for?
A nice person. I hope also a good music composer and producer in 2 years.
What are you looking forward to most in the future?
To release the music I compose since January 2019.
Describe your favorite show you ever played. Where was it?
When you get a busy room, a great soundsystem and your dj technique works for each transition, it’s a great show where ever it is. I like medium room, like 300 to 600 people and I love when the people are closed to me. I hate to be too far away cause I don’t feel the vibe.
Output in New York was that kind of vibe, Sound in Tokyo as well. Warung in Brazil is amazing too.
