Emma is a young ballet dancer from Munich who grew up in a family full of musicians and dancers. “You can not become a dancer. You are born as a dancer” it says on her instagram profile. And that is probably true. The passion someone brings up for a dream is born out of a deep passion. Often inexplicable, sitting deep in the heart of a human being, waiting to break out and be lived.

“A couple of months ago I came up with the idea of shooting her dancing throughout the city, as I loved the thought of combining some of the more loud, discordant and sometimes harsh city vibes with the beauty and eloquence of ballet.” Munich based photographer Ludwig Noack explains this wonderful series, which perfectly manages to combine the two arts of dance and photography. Documentary and yet arty; every picture is a small painting. “On the lovely and sunny afternoon of this years´ Easter Monday Emma and I got together to work on these scenes. We really had a lot of fun. Emma’s dancing is wonderful and I hope that these images, captured with my Canon 5D Mark IV and the Sigma 35mm 1.4, bring an element of calmness to the hustle and bustle of Munich.”

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
