Teamwork.

That’s it. That’s the tagline. And that’s what we have here today, in the form of the latest single from Toronto-based producer ATTLAS. “Half Light” the third track from his brand new album, “Lavender God” which just dropped on mau5trap this Friday, is a swelling synth number that is immediate yet employs a gorgeous sense of space. Complete with a top-line from The Naked And Famous’ Alisa Xayalith, it’s quintessentially electronic; danceable, but emotional.

“In Toronto, I’m usually writing, running on the trails by the lake, or seeking out art. To say that visual and narrative art is an influence on my work is an understatement. I still believe it to be an outlet I will return to with the right ideas. ‘Lavender God’ is me occupying that space in between nature and technology and asking the questions I know won’t get answered, surrendering myself to the unknowability of the big story.”
