Berlin based singer and songwriter duo JONAH, consisting of the two friends Angelo Mammone and Christian Steenken, premiere their fantastic new video for Fallin´ on C-Heads today. While watching the magnificent video the world stands still for a while. We get lost in those pastel colours of the horizon and we feel like merging with the dancers.
Fallin’ is accompanied by a music video, which was directed and choreographed as a collaboration between the band, well-known dancer and choreographer Mike Tyus as well as his L.A.-based dance group members Madison Olandt, Derion Loman and Joy Isabella Brown. Angelo Mammone, who also art directed the video gives a little insight about how the video came into being: “I had already written a video treatment for our song ‘Fallin´’ and planned it completely, but at the time of the video shooting, the video idea could no longer be implemented because new COVID-19 restrictions were introduced at short notice. So, we had to cancel everything again.
I then intuitively thought of Mike Tyus whom I have been following for a long time and whose performance videos have touched me and cast a spell on me over and over again. The whole shoot was totally spontaneous. Additionally, we shot the video with an iPhone so that we’d have more of a chance to be totally spontaneous and fast, to capture this vibe and this special energy and moments.”
