If you scroll through Jaime‘s instagram channel, you can feel his deep love for nature. In some of his pictures you can see the beauty of different landscapes, often covered in snow. The drummer, producer and sound designer lives and works in the countryside somewhere in the south of Germany. Even one of his writing studios is in a medieval tower, passionately restored with the help of “the lovely persons working at my hometowns town hall including our mayor and his daughter”. A truly exceptional place to write music, find ideas and inspirations. And just as extraordinary as his music.
With his latest single ‘Free’, an unique alternative trap track he collaborated with rapper franniethefirst. The lyrics are inspired by the discussion of how hard it is to be real. “To not hide behind wrong self-expression and fake self-confidence.” We all know that sort of feeling, don’t we? “I wanna be, finally free.” raises the voice the listener out of his maybe self-created prison and reminds us that we shouldn’t live anybody elses life and try to be the best version of ourselves in order to be free. The energetic, innovative sound and lyrics appeals like an impulse to break out those walls of other’s and one’s own expectations and just shake it all in time to the music.
