As this week just starts, it´s time to collect yourself and your energy. And nothing works better than dunk into the atmospheric sounds of Dario Lessing‘s new track “Overflow” – feat. James Chatburn – in order to find your own flow.
“We met a few times at gigs and Dario has this energy when he gets excited about music. I didn’t know what he was doing when we met for the first session but years later we have spent days and days and days in the studio collaborating.” recalls James Chatburn his and Dario Lessing‘s joint musical journey. In one of the many jams the two Berlin based artists had together the beautiful and mellow track “Overflow” was born. The second track out of Lessings upcoming album “Frequency” feels like balm for the soul, that finds it hard to find some rest during our frantic daily life, thanks to the mellow and meditative piano lines, fused with a warm analogue synth bass together with the soft and devoted vocals by James.
The collaborations of Dario Lessing are always very exciting and diversified. Sometimes the sound drifts more into the electronic direction, and at times a more delicate style can be found such as in “Overflow”. You can strongly feel his dedication to music in every single note, as well as the authentic energy that he puts into all his compositions.
His forthcoming album reflects on the fact that we all have our own energy that we all constantly send out to the world. When our different frequencies collide, they influence each other and form something new. Hopefully something as beautiful as his music.
