Van Bennekom is an international creative brand specialized in architecture and photography influenced by hedonistic and nostalgic aesthetics. “These nostalgic aesthetics are shaped by the lifestyle from the 60’s/70’s, from where we create our own dreamworld.” he tells us. “The abandoned Newlands Swimming Pool in Capetown from the early 60’s stands for these nostalgic aesthetics, with the Table Mountain and Devil’s Peak as a backdrop.” By inviting gorgeous model Mieke Visse from Boss Models, it became even more emotional, because she came here when she was just a little kiddo. She wandered around like it was back that days at this stunning piece of mid-century architecture.
