Intertwined

In her newest series Lisboa, Portugal based photographer Milena Baeza explores the beauty of human bond and vulnerability. We are all in need of some softness in our lives right now, in the face of the current times.

“Intertwined is a photo story about the human bond. The invisible link between people, that little thin thread that makes us all intertwined. With this series I wanted to portrait the intimacy, skin on skin moments, warmth and softness that can flourish between two people. To me these subjects unlock a level of vulnerability within me an open my door to others.

The couple in these pictures want to remain anonymous. They’re someone very close to me and that’s why they were my first choice. I admire them very much. They were brave enough to let me freeze in time what their passion and respect for each other looks like and for that I’m very grateful.”
