We are very excited to welcome Susan Buth on our site. The talented photographer enchants us with her incredible soft, feminine and warm work. Also her path to photography is different from the usual biographies. “I turned my profession into fascination. I had purely nothing to do with photography before my education. Then, when it came to deciding which path I wanted to take after my technical high school diploma, I quickly knew – I didn’t want to study.” she explained in an interview. “I wanted to learn a handcraft and applied to various vocational training programs. One of them was that of a photographer. I found that super exciting and then also got the job. But my training mainly consisted of taking passport photos every day. At some point after I quit and quickly realized I wanted to go into a different kind of photography.”
Together with model Lois Schindeler of Elite Amsterdam, she created this beautiful series in Cape Town. An ode to the lightness of warm summer days, femininity and purity.
