It is the harmony of simple, quiet nature that we dream about – where our heart really belongs to. Especially on those hot, humid days when cities become an unbearable spot all we can think about is escaping to a green home and tranquil beach. Photographer Carla Gnendiger detected this beautiful paradise spot in Cape Town, Newlands and seized the idea of a photo shooting there with artist Chloé Kian.
“Chloé is 26 years-old, born and raised in Switzerland, and deeply curious with anything regarding conscious living and creativity. Her mission is to see the beauty each moment holds and inspire her own community into living a life that is true to self.” Carla explains to us. “Living more sustainably and consciously is not about doing perfect, it‘s about doing our best at making a difference at our own scale. Chloé inspires me since a while with her work and I love to photograph real people and their stories. Getting an insight into their lives and personalities. I had the opportunity to meet Chloé earlier this year in South Africa at her home in Cape Town. We had a lovely sunny day and laughed a lot. We ended the day with a beautiful sunset at one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, Llandudno Beach in Cape Town. I thoroughly enjoyed this moment.”
