“Tenerife is one of the volcanic Canary Islands. It’s stunning landscape is a mix of black sand beaches, palm trees, sun baked lava fields, cactus deserts and refreshing, cool pine, laurel and eucalyptus forests. A combination that attracts many tourists, adventure seekers as well as brands and photographers.” tells us photographer Andy Cannon about the beautiful island he chose as the location for his latest photo shoot with the gorgeous Melisa Arizona.
“I met Melisa, who lives between Tenerife and Lativa, whilst sourcing models and shooting for a sustainable fashion designer, Avita Vitek. Melisa brings a playfulness and fierceness to each shoot that really comes across in the photos and in turn led to us working together a few times.” he continues. “The idea for this swimwear shoot was fairly spontaneous and I love to try different and creative ideas when shooting tests and collaborations. Using a bikini from a local swimwear brand Bum Bum Island, the ideas of palm trees and coconut was immediate and along with it the attempt to play with perspective and create this story around the discovery of a wash-up coconut.” Now we have a desire for a coconut…
