“Our upcoming album ‘Walking on the Line’ is a celebration of life’s wonderful instability.”
The young French alt-indie quartet Later. serves up a delicious slice of 70s new wave grooves with their latest release ‘She is Coming’. The delectable blend of vintage and contemporary sounds creates a fresh and exciting sound that transports the listener back in time. This is a must-listen for fans of 70s new wave and modern alt-indie. Bonjour Later.!
Charles, Paul, Noah, and Theo share a bond through their mutual love for music. From their shared aspirations, the band “Later.” was born. Their unique sound blends seemingly contrasting elements – French influences with English lyrics, a fusion of soulful melodies and rock influences, creating a musical style that is both playful and pure.
About their new single they tell: “She is Coming is our final single before our debut album. The repetition of the main phrase ‘She is Coming’ like a war-cry can have various meanings: the ‘she’ can be interpreted literally as this omnipotent and menacing individual coming to wreck our world, or as a metaphor of the group and the album to come. Musically, this track shows a little more its new wave and 70s rock influences whilst keeping the groove and sensuality which are now part of our DNA.”
The band explain about their upcoming album ‘Walking on the Line’: “This new record embodies the beautifully winding path we all travel as human beings: from falling from heaven with the opening track ‘Back to Heaven’, through the multiple rollercoasters of passionate love stories (‘Woman’), going through chaos (‘Eye of the Storm ‘), and undergoing loneliness ‘When She’s Gone’ to end up finding peace through the contemplation of nature with ‘Lemon Trees’.”
