As the photographer recounts, “My wife, Carrie, and I shot these at her old apartment last year, on the day she was moving out. We wanted to capture the feeling of that place – it was like a little oasis in the middle of the city.”
The images were created on a whim, with the couple visiting Target to pick out a few outfits for the shoot. It wasn’t until a month later that they received the news that they were expecting a baby. The photographer notes, “This shoot marks the end of an era for us. But it’s the beginning of a new one too. We just got married last month and our baby girl is due in August, so it’s an exciting time for us with lots of changes on the horizon.”
The images captured on that day are a testament to the beauty and mystery of life, and serve as a reminder to cherish every moment, whether it’s the end of an era or the beginning of a new one.
