For seventeen years, Outside Lands has exisited and for seventeen years Outside Lands has provided moments you can only make with your friends at Golden Gate Park. Bringing around 225,000 people to the bay to enjoy over 110 of their favorite artists, local beers and wines, a wide-variety of foods, and of course art installations that were sometimes created by eventgoers themselves. This years festival felt like a home-coming for many, the main event that’s looked forward to all year long and it did not disappoint.

The headliners this year could not have delivered any better; with Sunday’s finale brought out Bay Area legend, E-40 at Anderson .Paak’s set; even hinting at the possibility at a future collaboration between the two. Saturday night closed out with Tyler, The Creator and his immense stage presence and awe inspiring performance of Don’t Tap The Glass and Chromakopia. Friday prepped 3-day attendees with an insanely fun and memorable Doja Cat performance who wore a big, bold, full 80s glam inspired outfit that stole the show. Despite the headliners putting on a show, standouts such as Rebecca Black, known for her 2011 breakout hit “Friday”, as well as Doechii annoucing her Alligator Tour, this years lineup of artist kept the amazing detail-orientated performances coming from doors open to close.

For those who didn’t have a favorite artist on stage or for those who just wanted to explore a bit, Outside Lands’ installations were interactive, sometimes free, but always fun. From Dolores being a literal open-air club to chalk walls where event-goers could write who they are most exicited to see for the day; hanging out with your friends had more than enough options.

Overall, this year’s festival felt fresh & new while also giving a feeling of comfort event-goers are used to. If next year is as phenomenal as this year, I will definitely be in attendance and I hope you will be too.

Hello from my planet! I love nature, freedom, dancing, traveling, music, reading, chilling, cats and the woods. What makes me happy is healthy food, a good night out, long walks in the forest and getting lost in the sound of nature.
