Bodies of Water is an editorial exploring the connection between women and water — fluid, resilient, and transformative. Shot in Tofino’s lakeshores and tidal pools by Jordie Hennigar, the imagery uses natural light and muted tones to create a dreamlike, cinematic mood where body and landscape merge. Featuring surfer, model, and musician Julianna Laine, the series reflects themes of identity, rebirth, and our evolving relationship with the natural world.
As Julianna tells us: “Surfing slows the world down. It allows me to be present and put things in perspective. Anything on land that feels like a big deal disappears once you are in the water. It gives me space to think and to feel without distractions. Surfing has introduced me to all of my favorite people and all of my favorite places.”
